For many, this will be the first time you have heard or read about Ribblesdale School. We are situated in a beautiful semi-rural location in Clitheroe, near to the heart of the Ribble Valley in Lancashire. At the same time, we are very much a part of the national agenda to raise the standards of learning and young people’s education. We are designated as a High Performing Specialist School by the Department for Children, Schools and Families and we have two specialist designations for Technology and Applied Learning: we believe that the work we do is different: imaginative, exciting and makes learning relevant and enjoyable for all who learn here and work here. We don’t look inwards, but outwards, preparing young people for employment when the time is right.
We put our young people at the centre of everything we do, offering them not only quality pathways to academic and personal success, but in a caring and supportive way. A big school perhaps, but where everyone counts, with a sense of community.
