Coaching Groups

Rather than be grouped into registration/form groups, pupils will now be placed in 'Coaching Groups'. There will be 12 coaching groups in each year of 21/22 pupils.

Each year group will be led by a Year Leader whose main role will be to monitor pupils’ progress and achievement across subjects and help tackle underachievement.1

A Pastoral Coordinator will work with each year group and help to remove any barriers to learning that may arise. The focus in coaching periods will be on learning and will support in every way the curriculum entitlement of each young person. Coaches, Year Leaders and Pastoral Coordinators will stay with their group all the way through school.

The Year Leaders/Pastoral Coordinators are:
