School Policies

Behaviour and detentions

At Ribblesdale we expect high standards of behaviour from all our pupils and we actively encourage them to behave in a way that will promote a good learning environment and enable them to become good citizens.

Pupils are expected to:

  1. Show respect for other people, their feelings and their property
  2. Wear the correct school uniform, smartly at all times
  3. Never bring into school any matches, cigarettes, lighters or any item that may cause harm to themselves or other people
  4. Leave mobile phones out of sight and switched off at all times during the school day
  5. Stay on the school premises throughout the day, unless prior arrangement has been made with the school to go home for lunch
  6. Not chew bubble or chewing gum as these are banned from school
  7. Behave sensibly during break and lunch times and if in classrooms at this time, to remain seated consuming no food or drink
  8. Consume all food in the dining areas and not on corridors
  9. Walk along the corridors and not engage in any fighting or unruly behaviour in or around the immediate vicinity of school
  10. Follow any instructions given to them by a member of staff
