School Policies
Behaviour and detentions
At Ribblesdale we expect high standards of behaviour from all our pupils and we actively encourage them to behave in a way that will promote a good learning environment and enable them to become good citizens.
Pupils are expected to:
- Show respect for other people, their feelings and their property
- Wear the correct school uniform, smartly at all times
- Never bring into school any matches, cigarettes, lighters or any item that may cause harm to themselves or other people
- Leave mobile phones out of sight and switched off at all times during the school day
- Stay on the school premises throughout the day, unless prior arrangement has been made with the school to go home for lunch
- Not chew bubble or chewing gum as these are banned from school
- Behave sensibly during break and lunch times and if in classrooms at this time, to remain seated consuming no food or drink
- Consume all food in the dining areas and not on corridors
- Walk along the corridors and not engage in any fighting or unruly behaviour in or around the immediate vicinity of school
- Follow any instructions given to them by a member of staff
