This year's Lit Fest welcomed the Shady Tales Shadow Puppet Theatre Show to entertain Year 8 & 9 pupils as well as visiting groups from Pendle Primary, St. Michael and St. John's Primary and Brookside Primary. Fran O'Boyle and Ana Martinez presented a 45 minute show covering conflict, cultures and love. The theme of shadows formed the basis of this year's Lit Fest writing competition where pupils created a written story, podcast reading or short film clip based around the theme of 'Out of the Shadows'.

Form-time competitions have taken place through the week, with many house-points up for grabs, whilst a staff book-themed Dingbats Challenge offered up prizes of a different sort.

Storytellers Andy Johnson and Sue Allonby entertained English classes with a range of tales to help develop their narrative talents and also took part in History lessons with stories of the English Civil War and World War II to help pupils with their understanding of the context of the time periods that they are studying. Sue also entertained a retired group at Pendle Club on Wednesday afternoon as part of the school's community links programme.
