Ribblesdale Press Release – GCSEs 2016
GCSEs have Ribblesdale pupils’ jumping for joy!
After the long wait since completing their final GCSE papers pupils finally found out the results of their hard work and how well that has paid off. Opening the envelope is a nerve racking experience for every 16 year old but for these pupils’ nervous anticipation soon turned to joy and elation. They collectively achieved some of the highest grades possible and between them netted 40 A*, 43 A and 15 B grades making them amongst the highest achievers nationally. They now leave Ribblesdale well equipped and with very bright futures ahead of them.

We are very proud of the fantastic results our pupils have achieved this year. Their hard work and commitment alongside the superb support offered by their teachers has led to excellent results. There have been many exceptional achievements and we wish all of our past pupils the very best success in their next steps.
Headteacher Stephen Cox said, “Ribblesdale has gone from strength to strength over the last few years with GCSE results well above national average and a very favourable Ofsted report in 2015. These results are testament to the hard work and dedication of staff, pupils and parents. Our young people are deserving of their success.”
