Art & Design

Art and Design involves practical skills within the areas of:

• Objective drawing
• Imagination
• Composition and selection from graphics
• Print making
• Ceramics
• Sculpture
• Fashion, jewellery and textiles.

An appreciation of the history and theory of Art is also a requirement of the syllabus and is taught together with the craft skils required to fulfil the practical aspects of the course.

Pupils are offered the AQA specification GCSE Art and Design course.
