There are lots of people to help support you at Ribblesdale, including staff and pupils. Some of these people work in The Hub. This is a classroom next to Student Services.

Here you will be welcome at break and lunchtimes to complete any homework. This is also the place where you can have extra help with literacy and numeracy.

Mr Hughes (SENDCo) and Mrs Marshall (Assistant SENDCo) are in charge and will let you know if you need any extra help in the classroom.

All our Teaching Assistants are also based here. You will see them in some of your lessons and they will help to settle you in when you start at Ribblesdale. They are experienced and caring staff. They are able to offer a supportive pathway for our pupils by boosting confidence and promoting independence.

Some examples of teaching assistant support are:

  • One to one support within a classroom setting
  • One to one support in The Hub
  • Small group work within a classroom
  • Small group work in The Hub

In the Learning Support Department, we work closely together with our parents and carers in a holistic approach that puts your child at the heart of what we do. If you have any queries or questions, please do not hesitate to contact a member of our team.
